Katy Perry might want to consider joining the cast of "Saturday Night Live." The pop star, who was joined by former tourmate Robyn as the musical guest, brought in the show's highest ratings since November 5, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Perry spent the night poking fun at fellow celebs like Christina Aguilera, Florence Welch and Pippa Middleton. "SNL" received a 2.7 Nielsen rating in the coveted adults 18 to 49 demo, coming in as the #11 program for the night. (The well-rated November 5 episode featured "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" star Charlie Day as host and Maroon 5 as the musical guest.)

Alec Baldwin also turned up for a cameo on Saturday's show, joking about his encounter with an American Airlines flight attendant.

When MTV News caught up with Perry during her "SNL" rehearsals last Thursday, she said the gig was the "cherry on top" of her crazy year. "You hear with different monologues of different hosts every week, it sounds a bit repetitive and stereotypical about how this is their dream come true to host 'SNL,' " she said. "But it really is each and every one of our dream come true to host 'SNL,' to just have fun, goof off, try and make some people laugh."

In the days leading up to the show, Perry got some advice from her hubby, comic Russell Brand. "I've only ever hosted, like, dinner parties and birthday parties. This is a bit more than that," she joked. "I'm up for a challenge, for something new. I love to be challenged — I married Russell Brand."
